John Goodson’s love of nature, organic architecture and the majesty of the Cumberland Plateau drives the development of Myers Point. His passion is creating and seeing what is possible.

John has spent his entire life in and around Sewanee, Tennessee. His grandfather Rev. George Goodson served as an Episcopal priest in Tracy City during the Great Depression. John's father, Rev. Mercer Logan Goodson, was born in Sewanee. His family has been associated with the University of the South since his great-great grandfather Edmond Kirby-Smith helped re-establish it after the war between the states.

John is registered investment advisor (RIA). He is President of financial services firm Eudaimonia Group, headquartered in Nashville, TN and Managing Principal at Goodson Wealth Management located in Winchester, TN. John holds a BS in Business Management from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas.

In addition to his professional and conservation pursuits, John is a dedicated steward of community affairs as a member of the Sewanee Business Alliance, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and Housing Sewanee, and member of the Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary.
